Cotswolds Smokery

A Grade II listed, early 19th Century five-bay barn with attached former stable and granary, this Cotswolds house is situated in the beautiful Coln Rogers Valley.

We are refurbishing the house to reinstate and reintroduce features of this old smoke house, whilst equally a primary focus is exploring options for linking the two barns to create one flowing house.

This concept has been developed through research into local and natural materials to be used throughout the project. Smoked oak will run throughout the joinery, dining table, stair treads and hand rail, as a nod to the historic use of the barn. Cotswolds Stone will feature both outside and indoors; exposed internal finishes where possible combined with limestone washes. Finally, two structural features will constitute the main focal points inside: a new carved stair element and a large open smoke fireplace.

The project is now on site.
