A Knightsbridge duplex apartment which was completely gutted and rebuilt to both celebrate the classic elements of the building, whilst creating a modern and elegant space.

A year of drawing, testing, and research was undertaken alongside very talented artisans and craftsmen to develop the post-tensioned solid stone staircase. Its structure was inspired by the architecture and incredible strength of a whale’s vertebrae.

Each detail, junction, and moment was considered throughout the design process, including the lighting and furniture which was largely bespoke and created from scratch.
